• Saskatchewan Ministry of Environment requires Project Proposals and Environmental Protection Plans for working within Provincial Parks, Provincial Forests, Wildlife Development Fund Lands, Wildlife Protection Act Lands, native prairie, rare and endangered species habitat, etc. The Ministry of Environment also requires the completion of a Private Land Checklist for all projects on private land in Saskatchwan, and submission of mitigation where required.

• Saskatchewan Ministry of Agriculture requires Restoration Plans for projects working within crown owned lands, PFRA, etc.

• Saskatchewan Watershed Authority leads management of the province's water resources to ensure safe drinking water sources and reliable water supplies. The SWA processes applications for the temporary right to use water under The Saskatchewan Watershed Authority Act, 2005.

• Indian Oil and Gas Canada requires Environmental Assessments and One and Five Year Facility Audits for projects working within First Nations’ Lands.
• To protect and preserve lands from environmental damage. Company must demonstrate compliance with environmental terms and conditions attached to the surface agreement.

• Alberta Environment and Sustainable Resource Development requires EFR’s, GFR’s, TFA’s and EIA assessment supervision.

• Inuvialuit Land Administration and Indian and Northern Affairs Canada requires Environmental Assessments for completing seismic, wellsite, and pipeline activities in the Northwest Territories.

• The Prairie Farm Rehabilitation Administration is a Branch of Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada, and manages federal PFRA community pastures throughout the prairie provinces.
• The PFRA has specific environmental assessment guidelines and standardized procedures for oil and gas companies working within PFRA pasture lands. Completed environmental assessments are submitted in the form of an Environmental Impact Statement to the PFRA Pasture Manager, Land Manager, and Real Property Section.

• Saskatchewan Ministry of Energy and Resources co-ordinates, develops, promotes and implements policies and programs of the Government of Saskatchewan.
• ER’s mandate is to promote, co-ordinate and implement policies, strategies and programs that encourage sustainable economic growth in Saskatchewan’s energy, mineral and forestry resources.
